< Sallman's portrait of Jesus Christ expreses truth, love and spiritThis portrait of Jesus Christ, by Sallman, is such an icon for me, because it was hung on the wall behind the pulpit, in the Methodist Church, in Caretta, West Virginia, and I looked at it when I was old enough to walk. It is no longer there, but, it remains in my mind. Jesus Christ is a spirit of love. Jesus Loves me, this I know because the Bible tells me so. Jesus tells you to love your neighbor. It is ‘agape’ love. Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. KJV. Hatred for anyone has no place. Recorded only in the Gospel of St. Matthew is the story of Pontius Pilate’s wife, who had a dream concerning Jesus, leading her to demand that her husband “have nothing to do with that righteous man” (Mt 27:19). The Gospel is silent, however, on the content of the dream, Matthew records only that Pilate’s wife suffered greatly because of it. Pilate asks Jesus ‘What is Truth?’ “Truth and Falsehood” is one problem out of Bertrand Russell’s book “The Problems of Philosophy”. Russell(1872–1970) is considered as one of the most influential philosophers of the last two centuries. With his book, he tries to give a simple and accessible introduction to common problems in philosophy.In it, he defines truth by proposing a plain theory illustrated with an example of Othello. But at first, it seems a bit tedious to understand the terminology he uses. Once understood, you’ll get what the philosopher intended with his attractive definition of truth, and it will be worth it. Jesus says, “I give you a spirit of truth’. Tell the truth in all things. You know when something is true and when it is not. Sometimes you are forced into telling a lie, Jesus knows all about it. When someone lies to advance his own interest, or the interest of others for gain, it is a sin. You can think of many times, in the Bible. Genesis 20:1–16 narrates the story of Abraham emigrating to the southern region of Gerar, whose king is named Abimelech. Abraham states that Sarah, his wife, is really his sister, leading Abimelech to try to take Sarah as a wife; however, God intervened before Abimelech touched Sarah. 2 kings 6:19 15And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? 16And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. 17And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. 18And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the LORD, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha. 19And Elisha said unto them, This is not the way, neither is this the city: follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom ye seek. But he led them to Samaria. Fruit of the Spirit is a love for truth. I love a person that fells the truth. If you don’t want to have to lie, don’t do anything wrong. Right? . Believest thou this? 27She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world. 28And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee. 29As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly, and came unto him. Some people are saved simply because they are born into a family that believes in Jesus Christ, some go to church and accept Jesus, some people are placed in a position where they accept Jesus like a leap of faith. Jonah was placed in the belly of a whale. In any case it is an act of God. It is a miracle. Praise the Lord! Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and be SAVED. Amen.

Living water, from the north, enters under the temple and comes out the other side. Step into the water. It is too swift. You know you can’t cross to the other side. There is JESUS CHRIST, with a measuring line. He takes you by the hand and you cross to the other side. In front of you is an arch of lights, and in the middle of the arch are cerebrums. The one in the front has the head of an eagle, with wings flapping, the one to the right, is a bull, with wings touching the eagle’s wings and the other wing touching the wing of the cerebrum at the bottom, with the likeness of ‘Rubin’, and the cherubim to the left has the head of a lion. They are all flapping, making the sound of much water rushing. Then you hear a voice saying, ‘HUSH, BE STILL and you all fall forward saying, ‘Holy, Holy, Holy.’ WE WILL SEE THE CHERIBUMS AGAIN.

Ruffled Grouse

< Landowners can increase West Virginia’s ruffed grouse populations by focusing on meeting grouse habitat needs. First, implement forest management practices to increase young regenerating forests with high stem densities. Second, focus management efforts to promote hard mast-producing trees, particularly oak species. Third, effectively manage forest roads and openings to promote herbaceous vegetation for foraging and brooding habitat. Consult with a professional forester or wildlife biologist to ensure that the management objective of improving ruffed grouse habitat is met successfully. What has happened to the Grouse Spraying weed killer, wild fires, flooding, strip mining, franking, pumping chemicals into the ground for natural gas all play a role. The West Nile Virus is there too. Stop using fossil fuels and stop spraying would help. We must pray that everyone will do all they can, to make things better. It is going to be lonesome here on this earth alone. Don’t be naïve. We can’t survive without animals and bugs, can we?

Many verses in the Bible, support pro life. and few support pro choice. The U.S. Supreme Court recently ruled it illegal to perform an abbortion when a heart beat can be detected. Then, you are not allowed to kill the baby. When you think about killing a human being, you must also consider capital punishment, self-defense, war, pesticides, or, even ‘putting your seed to the ground. It is not easy. I am thankful to be able to let all of these things fall into the hands of a just God. God knows. He will hold you accountable for all things. Pray to the Lord and let the Holy Spirit lead you.
